Mike Epley - Chief Estimator
Mike Epley joined Achilles in 2021, but has been in the HVAC industry since he was 16 years old. Mike has worked on several types of commercial projects including high rises, schools, prisons, hospitals, and several others. Mike’s standards for his work are quality above all else, punctuality, reliability, and integrity. He will bring these high standards to any job he works on. Achilles is proud to have Mike Epley as a valued member of our team.

Tommy Bingham - Mechanical Project Manager
Tommy started as a foreman at Achilles is 2018 and has since moved into a project manager role. As a Project Lead at Achilles he has successfully completed some of our most prominent projects including Benedictine Monastery Apartments and JTED at the Bridges. The success of those projects allowed him the opportunity as Project Manager. Tommy is proud of the reputation that Achilles has in the community and the great clients that we work with. He is a valuable asset to the Mechanical team!

Jose Ruiz – Mechanical Project Manager
Jose has lived in Tucson for over 20 years and he understands the challenges of the Tucson summers. Jose joined Achilles in 2008 in charge of Sales in the service department. His vast experience enables him to present the best options to his customers. In 2023 Jose was offered a Project Manager position in the Mechanical Department. His ability to build strong customer relations with clients and respectfully lead a team of skilled labor force allow him to successfully complete projects.

Matt Brown - Mechanical Project Manager
Matt joined the Achilles family in early 2000. With no prior HVAC experience, he started as an apprentice field installer/helper. His exceptional work ethic quickly led to his inevitable advancement into one of Achilles’ field foremen and, ultimately, a key project manager. In 2015 Matt left Achilles to pursue knowledge expansion/career advancement opportunities and, with that accomplished, rejoined Achilles in 2021 as an important part of our project management team.

Phil Gamez - Mechanical Project Manager
Phil Gamez has been with Achilles since the company’s founding in 1979. He started as a foreman but has been a project manager for the last several years. Being with the company since the beginning, he has been on a large variety of projects. With his knowledge and skills, Phil is an integral part of the Achilles family. 

Kelly Hanamoto - Project Engineer
Kelly was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii but has lived in Tucson since 2005. She started her construction career in 2007 as an administrative assistant for a heavy civil construction company. In 2018, Kelly became part of the Achilles team which was her first experience working for a mechanical company, but she is excited to be able to learn about a new trade and assist our rapidly growing mechanical department. Kelly values positivity, honesty and dependability in the workplace and enjoys the friendly and challenging atmosphere at Achilles.

Casey LaFollette - Project Administrator
Casey joined Achilles 2021 as an Administrative Assistant. In 2024 with almost 10 years of experience in the construction industry, Casey seized an opportunity that offered her the position of Project Administrator in our construction department. She assists our Project Managers with the day-to-day contractual requirements of our commercial projects. Growing up, Casey never thought she would be working in the construction industry, but she thrives in this schedule driven, fast-paced environment and wouldn’t have it any other way.
